Joining the Board of the North Wales International Music Festival

Joining the Board of the North Wales International Music Festival

I am honoured to share that I have been appointed a Board Trustee of the North Wales International Music Festival (NWIMF)—a festival with a rich history of bringing world-class music to the heart of Wales since its founding in 1972 by the composer William Mathias.

This appointment feels especially meaningful as I will also be performing at the festival later this year. On 12 September, I will present Harmonie du Soir, a recital inspired by Baudelaire’s poetry, weaving together works by Liszt, Schubert, Debussy, and contemporary composers.

As a trustee, I join an inspiring board that includes the composer Paul Mealor, whose work has been performed at some of the most significant events in recent British history. To contribute not only as an artist but also alongside such visionary figures is a privilege.

The NWIMF has always stood for accessibility, excellence, and a deep connection with its community, values that are close to my heart. I look forward to helping shape its future—building bridges between tradition and innovation, and ensuring that it continues to thrive for new generations of audiences and musicians.
