CYRILL’S STORY

Cyrill Ibrahim is a British concert pianist, hailed by The Daily Telegraph as “one of the most exciting pianists of his generation.” A graduate of the Royal College of Music, he has appeared at major international venues including the Concertgebouw, St John’s Smith Square, and the Philharmonie.

His performances have reached audiences at the highest cultural level, including a collaborative concert for Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Balmoral, and the premiere of a solo piano version of the Coronation Kyrie at the British Embassy in Rome.

Cyrill plays a central artistic role in the Sky Arts documentary Mozart: A Genius for Hire, contributing to the film’s narrative and intellectual framework alongside figures including Grammy Award–winning violinist Gil Shaham, actor David Harewood, and broadcaster Matthew Broom. His contribution presents Mozart not only as a composer, but as a radical creative force whose ideas continue to shape modern artistic identity.

His debut album Dialogue has been featured on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM, and he has appeared on The One Show and In Tune. He has been profiled extensively by Tatler, which described him as “a new kind of classical figure — serious about the art form, yet completely fluent in the language of modern culture,” and has appeared on the cover of Gentleman’s Journal, who called him “the future of British music.”

Alongside his institutional and broadcast work, Cyrill has also been invited to perform in private cultural settings, including a high-profile performance in London for Kim Kardashian — reflecting the trust placed in him to represent classical music across contemporary cultural contexts without compromising artistic integrity.

As Artist-in-Residence at World Heart Beat (Embassy Gardens), Cyrill curates an innovative concert and education programme that reimagines the classical recital as a complete artistic experience, integrating music with poetry, visual art, lighting, and narrative. At the centre of his work is a belief that accessibility and depth are not opposites, but partners.

Cyrill is the founder of The Classical Music Collective, an educational and artistic mentorship platform supporting young musicians through performance opportunities and sustained guidance. He is also an ambassador for the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and serves on the board of the North Wales International Music Festival. He is based in London and works internationally.

DIALOGUE

Dialogue, the debut album of pianist Cyrill Ibrahim, features Bach’s second Partita, Schubert’s A major Sonata (D. 664), Debussy’s first book of the Images, and Schumann’s Allegro, Op. 8. These pieces from the core piano repertoire show the different approaches to the instrument and explore the enormous potential in sound, color, and expression. Cyrill has selected these works because, at different times in his life, they all played an important role. Cyrill has performed both as soloist and a chamber recitalist on the national and international stage for such halls as the Berliner Philharmonie and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam
